You have to be always alert and ready
If you dream of becoming a law enforcer, you will need to be constantly alert and prepared for anything that happens. You could be called in the wee hours of the night to respond to an emergency in your area. You could be stationed in a large area like Wichita, which means that you would have to stock up on emergency car accessories and supplies.
Whatever your task is, you will have to be alert of your surroundings at all times. Danger can strike from any direction. You need to be prepared for any situation, whether it be a crime incident, a natural disaster, or a simple case of speeding.
You have to meet certain physical and mental requirements
Taking down bad guys will need strength and force. If you want to become an enforcer of the law, you need to meet some physical requirements.
Such requirements will vary per state. For example, other states require a certain height limit for their police officers. Others require a certain fitness level in order to serve in law enforcement. If you can meet your local police department’s physical requirements, then you are already one step closer to realizing your goal.

Not all tests will focus on physical strength alone. You must also be knowledgeable on the local laws of the area. You must be also be efficient and skillful with certain equipment and tools while on the job. It can be grueling to pass all these tests, but in the end, it will all be worth it.
